Founder & CEO
Jenora Ledbetter
Jenora Ledbetter is a people risk and organizational development expert specializing in crisis communication, employment and labor policy, strategic realignment, and leadership behavior under pressure. She is the Founder and CEO of The Self Care Network, where she helps organizations name and correct what she calls “purple elephants,” the unspoken dynamics that quietly erode trust, performance, retention, and reputation.
Jenora is the creator of the Purple Elephant Tripod Effect, a proven framework that stabilizes organizations by reconnecting three areas that too often operate in silos: Leadership, Staff, and Internal Operations. What makes her approach distinct is that it is attachment theory informed. She identifies the relational patterns underneath workplace behavior, including overfunctioning, avoidance, control, misattunement, and conflict cycles, then translates those insights into clear interventions leaders and HR teams can implement immediately.
Certified in Industrial Organizational Psychology, Jenora brings a scientific lens to the workplace, focusing on how organizations recruit, develop, motivate, and retain talent, and how performance, teamwork, leadership, stress, and job attitudes impact outcomes. Her work is grounded in evidence based practices and designed to help organizations build healthier, more productive work environments.
In addition to her consulting practice, Jenora is an Adjunct Professor at Western Connecticut State University, where she teaches American Government and integrates equity into discussions of power, policy, governance, and responsibility, connecting public systems to workplace realities. She holds a master’s degree in advocacy and policy and a bachelor’s degree in psychology.
Jenora is also the author of Centering Equity in Your Organization: A Guide to Building Bridges, Not Barriers, which offers a practical framework for identifying misalignment, dismantling harmful internal dynamics, and building cultures rooted in accountability, care, and long term sustainability.

Equity Coach/Consulting Partner
Abby Anderson
Abby Anderson supports leaders in integrating equity and belonging practices into their work and lives.
For over a decade, she served as the executive director of an organization dedicated to ending the criminalization of children. During this time, Abby recognized how her whiteness and lack of direct impact created knowledge gaps in her leadership, at times perpetuating inequity. This realization led her to engage in deep personal work and drive an organization-wide effort to reexamine policies and practices, ultimately co-creating a youth/adult partnership model that centers the expertise of directly impacted youth.
As a certified coach through the Academy of Creative Coaching and a Certified Diversity-to-Belonging Facilitator through Veritas Culture, Abby provides coaching, consulting, training, and facilitation, with a focus on helping white leaders de-center whiteness. She walks alongside her partners, offering space to process, incorporate, and implement equity and belonging leadership tools.

Head of Mess Development
Lucas James Ledbetter
The Self Care Network LLC has promoted Lucas James as the "Head of Mess Development". Lucas is a 3 year old goldendoodle whose favorite job task is pulling every toy out of the toy bin to find the perfect one to play with. After work, he can be found in the kitchen monitoring the floor as his quest to become known as the World’s Hungriest Goldendoodle.
In his free time, Lucas loves to explore the world with his mouth, give kisses, and playing with his friends. As an avid foodie he definitely lives up to his title “Head of Mess Development” even if he is often redirected to drop it, or leave it. When asked how he felt about the promotion, Lucas said " I am excited for the opportunity to tackle any mess that falls on the floor, I have my nose ready to sniff out any spills and I guarentee it will be cleaned up in under 1 minute."
While some applicants require hours of training in order to learn and master the skills it takes to get a job done right, others are born with it. As the head of our cleaning services, every bone on the floor, every spilled glass of water, Lucas will lick it up.
