Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Certification For Organizations 

Our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) certification program is designed to provide organizations with the knowledge, skills, and tools to create and maintain a more diverse equitable, and inclusive workplace. The goal of our program is to help individuals understand the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace and to develop the skills necessary to create a more inclusive and welcoming environment for all employees.

 

This program is focused on providing tools and strategies for achieving both short term and long-term success in the areas of diversity, equity, and inclusion as well as organizational leadership. This program emphasizes practical implementation rather than just theoretical concepts. It aims to equip participants with the skills needed to tackle the emotionally charged and critical work required to drive meaningful change within an organization.

Our DEI Certification Program covers the following topics 

  • Understanding diversity, equity, and inclusion: Participants learn about different types of diversity, including but not limited to race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, and ability, and the importance of creating an inclusive environment that values and respects everyone.

 

  • Bias and discrimination awareness: Participants will learn how to recognize and combat bias and discrimination in the workplace, including implicit biases and microaggressions.

 

  • Creating an Inclusive Culture: Participants will learn about strategies for creating an inclusive culture, including how to foster open communication, build trust, and promote diversity, and inclusion.

 

  • DEI policies and practices: Participants will learn about best practices for creating and implementing DEI policies and practices, including recruitment, retention, and promotion strategies that promote diversity and inclusion.

 

  • Integrating DEI into Talent Development Strategy: Participants will learn how DEI can support talent development goals and how it can impact the overall success of the organization.

 

  • Measuring Success: Using data to inform DEI strategies and Accountability Measures: Participants will learn how to measure the success of DEI initiatives and strategies, including how to collect and analyze data to track progress and identify areas for improvement.

Requirements 

In order to qualify for the certificate program, the organization will be required to

  • Attend all 6 trainings.

  • Pass the exam with 70%

  • Choose ONE DEI Project that the organization will work on with the consultant.

 

Duration: A 6-day instructor led certificate program. Each training is between 3- 3.5 hours. Given a week a part to give participants a chance to digest the information they received. Totaling 6 weeks of intergrated learning. PARTICIPANTS WILL NEED TO COMPLETE ALL 6 TRAININGS IN ORDER TO RECEIVE THE CERTIFICATE.

 

Format: All trainings will be conducted on our online platform and will be instructor-led

 

Exam: After the course and DEI project you will have 60 days to complete and pass the exam. The exam will be untimed and will contain multiple choice questions and reflection prompts. You must achieve 70% or higher to pass.

 

DEI Project: All organizations are required to choose One DEI project to work on with the consultant. The projects are listed below.

 

  • Conduct an organization-wide DEI audit: This project involves reviewing the current state of diversity, equity, and inclusion within the organization, identifying areas for improvement, and developing a plan to address these gaps.

 

  •  Develop a DEI training program: This project involves creating a comprehensive training program for all employees that focuses on increasing awareness of diversity, equity, and inclusion, and providing skill-building opportunities to support a more inclusive workplace.

 

  • Launch an employee resource group (ERG): ERGs are voluntary, employee-led groups that bring together individuals who share common interests or backgrounds. This project involves launching one or more ERGs to support employees' sense of belonging and to provide opportunities for networking, mentoring, and professional development.

  • Implement a diversity recruitment program: This project involves developing and implementing strategies to attract a more diverse pool of candidates for open positions within the organization. This could include partnering with community organizations, revising job descriptions to be more inclusive, or improving the diversity of the interview panel.

 

  • Conduct a pay equity analysis: This project involves reviewing the organization's compensation practices identifying any disparities based on gender, race, or other protected characteristics. Based on the results of the analysis, the organization can develop a plan to address any inequities.

 

  • Launch a mentorship program: This project involves creating a mentorship program that pairs employees from diverse backgrounds with more experienced colleagues. This can provide opportunities for skill-building, career development, and relationship-building across different parts of the organization.

 

  • Revise policies and practices to be more inclusive: This project involves reviewing the organization's policies and practices to identify areas where they may be unintentionally excluding or disadvantaging certain groups of employees. This could include revising dress codes, accommodating religious holidays, or providing more flexible work arrangements.

The DEI training courses and consultant project will be included in the total cost of the program. 

No recordings and or distributions of any of the remote trainings for the certification course are permitted. All attendees must be present during the live training just as if they were taking the training in person.
